E collar recommendations

Calling @Kaiser2016.....

Am interested in your thoughts/assessment of the Dogtra Arc on Kaiser.
Oh we love it! A couple times he wouldn't recall when called (new environments can cause deafness lol), so he got buzzed and he came running back with his head all twitching haha. I knew we needed the range too. Turning on both the control and the collar seems a bit cumbersome because they have to be held close to each other, that would be my only complaint. We had tried a Garmin a couple years back and it had a simple button on each device, but it was no where near as sleek as this one.

I have one too and love it. Both the range and the 127 levels of stim. Level 127 must be for a Mack truck as Jazz had ONE only ever stim of 65 the first time she lit out after roos in full prey mode. Have never had to go anywhere near that high ever again! With the long range you have time to think and react appropriately so can give your dog a chance to self control before voice and stim.
Have to agree about the on/off system as there have been times where I accidentally left the collar on after use. You do get used to it though.

I guess I've never thought of range as giving the user more time to think. Good point.

What do you think about the ergonomic sleek design that kinda camouflages it being an ecollar. Is it cracked up to be as compared to the box of Educator?

I know....the functional use of the ECollar system is more important than looks but if one can have both, then why not???

Well, if someone is observant then it is obviously an ecollar. I would be one of the ones who would notice, especially if it was on a Doberman as I am drawn like a magnet to any Dobe I see! The general public don't seem to notice unless they are right in close. They notice the transmitter I carry around my neck more and assume it is a satellite phone. :D

It’s not as obvious as the box style and definitely doesn’t stick out as much. Kaiser was sleeping so I woke him up hah, feels great to disturb his sleep for once!

Laying flat on the floor.

The extra collar length will actually cover the box when the extra portion is clipped down.
