DOBERMANN BREEDER IN EUROPE

I am new to forums in geneal and this one too, I've always been lurking but never dared to post anything - but here I am now :]]
*I WANT AN UNCROPPED DOG*

This is about dobermann breeders in Europe. I am from Croatia but the breeder doesn't have to be from here or a neighbouring country.

What I want to find is information on breeders, but I am not looking for your personal experience of "I had 2 dogs from them and they turned out okay", I'd like info from people who actually looked into the pedigree - without dogs from Altobello or Izafel as I've seen enough about them. Overbreeding a bitch and a history of DCM and underbite.

- What are some kennels or breeders you find have good dogs health-wise?

- Which don't overbreed or have a worrying amount of litters per year/always seem to have puppies available?

-Which have dogs that are visually/structurally in standard? I don't want a 'bigger, stronger' dog, I want a dog who looks like it should.

If it is important to you I am going to show my dog, but primarily it will be my sport(obedience, bikejoring) and hiking companion, I am not looking into making shows the primary thing.

I am NOT looking to get a puppy right now, I am going to contact the breeders when I am ready for a dog soon, but it made sense to look 1.5yr-2yrs in advance to make sure I find someone with who my beliefs of animal wellbeing align since I will always be tied to the breeder over my dog.

It's great you're doing your research ahead of time and it shouldn't be hard to find an uncropped dog in Europe. I'm not sure of reputable breeders over there anymore and health testing isn't as common there as it is here.

Yes this is exactly my biggest concern. For me health is the priority - I'd like an active dog who can go hiking with me. I have fallen in love with this breed ever since I first saw it, and especially later when I watched them in the ring.

However, its so hard to filter through kennels that at this point I've resorted to just going through specific pairings and ignoring other pairings the breeder does. But I was hoping maybe someone knew a good one here...

A few times I've almost given up on the dobermann, but I dont want to.

yeah, ive heard, and sadly it is way to expensive in contrast to the economy here. what a lot of people in USA can afford for a dog is half what it would be here - because we have cheaper vet bills, rent... but also smaller paychecks. so id be paying 'out of my league'

I do have some friends with Dobermanns from Liparland in Serbia and she will sell them cropped or uncropped. I don't know if she has any breedings planned though.

I will contact, thank you. Right now I am also looking at Red Savina, it is a new breeder...I contacted them. Their female Asuna has 4 years in a row DCM cardio test as well as the sire they bred. Right now they are planning on a pairing with antoher dog by end of next year and they got her DCM tested this year and will again the next and so on... Though over the doberbase website I see they have a lot of oncology situations.

However the lines seem ok DCM wise..not as many as I saw on some others and no Altobello line... however the del Citone part of the line seems a little problmematic but luckily it is 5-6 gens back. I will see how it plays out over the next 2 years.
