Caught a news clip last night of a couple of private security guys, one with a Rottie and one with a Dobe. Apparently they are employed by a neighbourhood who have a crime wave going on. The Dobe took a lunge at an innocent bike rider who was riding past resulting in the handler shouting and trying to drag this dog off. OMG, I cringed! 
Obviously these things can happen, but the reaction of the handler sort of pointed to a lack of decent training to me, and it's these events that just reinforce the public idea of a Doberman Devil Dog! I should add that there was no contact with the poor guy on the bike, but I bet he had to change his "undies".
