Clockwork hiccups?

My 5 month old doberman Greta has a bout of hiccups every night around 10pm. And I mean every night, like clockwork. They last about 5 minutes, aren't body-wracking and don't bother her at all. She eats around 8pm, so I don't think it's food-related.

It's kinda cute and curious at the same time. Any thoughts?

When Gretchen was younger she too got them fairly often. I don't recall specific times or how often. Now she gets them occasionally, it's kind of cute.

Addie used to get them as well. Not regular like that but everyday, even twice sometimes. Reading your post makes me realize it's been some time since he's had any so I'm guessing yours will probably stop as well. I'm glad you thought they are cute as well;I always felt a little guilty for thinking that way.

Ours got them quite often when they were pups too, but now it doesn't happen often at all. As stated, I think they outgrow them.

It is interesting that yours does it like clockwork though.

It's normal. They grow out of it as their lungs complete development. It's weird that it's every night at the same time though.
