Annie and the kids

If there's one thing that I always hoped for, it would be that our dogs would get along with the grandkids. Buddy grew up with them and was excellent with them! I always wondered if we ever had another, would they be the same?

Well, Annie is fitting the bill! She is friendly, affectionate and so excited whenever she sees the kids!

She especially likes this little squirt. He's our son's youngest at 8 years old. Annie seems to gravitate to him the most. Maybe it's because he engages with her more or perhaps it's because he's more her size! 😆

They were here today and while the others were finishing up homework we both went outside with Annie. First he was riding my bike. It was the first time that Annie ever saw a bike in action. She did great! I just had to keep her from cutting in front of him!

And then I got on my golf cart and my grandson was running alongside, and then jumping into the cart and jumping off the cart, chasing Annie, getting chased by Annie! Everything and anything! They both had a great time!!

The we went back to the barn where he cleaned out the horses water trough. With a little help from Annie.

They had a great time and were heartwarming to watch. She is just the best!

Aww that's great to see and she's growing up into such a beautiful young lady!

Annie and I went to my son's house this afternoon. She was so excited to go with me anywhere. Lol. I haven't taken her in the car in quite some time. My husband and son were working across the road putting in lights in his neighbor's barn. I figured it was a good day to go visit and bring Annie.

When she saw our youngest grandson, now 10yrs old, I can barely contain her, she was so excited! I brought her ball and the Chuck it and it was the first thing that they did!20260723_115947(1).webp

After a few rounds we gave her a rest while the kids went back across the road to help their dad and grandpa. Annie walked around holding her ball for the next hour. Every time she dropped it and it rolled somewhere she was looking for it! But she always found it. She loves that ball! But she loves the kids too. Now and then they would come back on their dirt bike and go to his barn in the back to get more material or something to bring back across the Road. Annie didn't chase them but looked expectantly at them like, you going to throw that ball again!? And they did.

I knew she was going to be out like a light later. And I was right. Just like a child, 5 minutes after I left, she was out! 😅
