Albert's first year in Minnesota

One year ago today Von was bidding baby Albert a farewell and putting him on a plane to come to his new home in Minnesota. Of course that was the day that we had been waiting for for months and months and months, so when that plane touched down it was all I could do to contain my excitement.

Here's a photo of him on Aug 19, 2011.


And today, Aug 19, 2012


I put together a photo montage of his first year here, and if I would have used all of the photos I wanted it would have been about 2 hours long. LOL It looks best if you view it full screen and with the volume on.

It's been quite a memorable first year and we look forward to many, many more with our little sweetheart!

Thanks Von! I see a lot of his Mom in him too and I don't mind that one bit. They actually let me keep the music in there so it was much more fitting than if I would have had to replace it with something else.

Jan - what a great idea and we can all remember how excited you were and how hard it was to wait. What a beautiful pictorial montage of his first year. Where did the time go - all our puppies have graduated from the puppy porch and it just does not seem possible.

Thanks so much everyone! It's hard to believe how fast time flies, but this was one memorable day for us a year ago and it's hard to believe all of the changes that take place in a short years time.

Wow indeed an awesome idea! I didn't have a good camera till Jake was almost full grown but the next pup I get you can bet I'll try to copy your idea Jan LOL and why is it that Della just keeps shrinking and shrinking ...poor girl...give some hugs to poor little Della for me...Anyway as much as I love puppies I sure like seeing them all grown up and hansomeand I can't help it I have a bit of a soft spot for the boys..and he's for sure a handsome guy!! How much does he weigh now..I am very curious. Jake goes to the vet Tuesday and I am totally wondering how much he'll weigh in at..He'll be two in November geez time does fly

great montage and great photos always! that ball sure has gotten smaller hasn't it? Kinda like Judith's Table and Buddy! These boys have grown up so fast I can hardly stand it! and not that long ago, Della and Gemma's were baby pix out here! good gawd... time has flown!!
