    Happy Birthday, Sasha!

Our girl was 4 yrs old on Jan. 17! We have been so busy with life lately that I have not been on the chat much, but I just could hardly believe that Sasha is 4 already! Sasha brings us so much joy! She is so smart, and so strong willed, and she listens much better to my husband than to me...

    She knows…

I had a total knee replacement on Dec 17, and am doing really well with recovery. I had wondered if Sasha would be a little dangerous to be around, as she is go, go, go a lot of the time. Instead she just knows. When I came jome she gently sniffed my incision through my pants, and does that at...

    “Very, very high”…

Although I was devastated that it happened, I wanted to share our experience in hopes that someone else might avoid it happening to them. I have nasty osteoarthritis that makes my sleep very difficult. Since marijuana is now legal here, and all else has failed, I started taking a THC gummy at...

    Happy Birthday dear Sasha!

Our sweet girl is two today! Time goes by faster and faster! Poor girl had kind of a lousy day, as we both had to work. She was bouncing off the walls when we got home! We will make it up to her. In any event, happy birthday to our sweet, wild, moody, frisbee catching, couch hog of a pup! We...

    Picky eater

Just a note of interest. Sasha has always been a picky eater. She likes her toppings and snacks, but can usually be encouraged to eat her regular kibble twice daily. Victor was working well for us, and she was turning into a bit of a piggie since her spay a few months back. Never overweight, but...

    Partial Spay Anyone?

Sasha is scheduled next month to be spayed. My husband insists we have it done, and now we have more free time to watch her. Personally, I would not do it at all, but … In any event, Have any of you done the ovary sparing surgery? Feedback from your vets on this? I read articles here, but wanted...

    Yak Cheese

We picked up a couple of the hard Yak Cheese chews down in central Ohio Amish country last Tuesday and Sasha loves them. She carries them up and down the stairs, and they are lasting many times longer than the bully sticks. I read something about tooth breakage, but doubt that is an issue for...

Over and over and over again!

Sasha is 12 months old. She knows her commands, and still needs high value rewards to be consistent, BUT she is making us crazy with repetitive, negative behavior! For example, she will not leave the tv remote alone. As soon as you command “leave it”, she drops it, but it is over and over again...

    Happy 1st Birthday, Sasha!

Happy 1st birthday to our beautiful, stubborn, incredibly smart, rough playing, cuddly, sock stealing, cheese loving Sasha! She goes everywhere with us, including a recent roadtrip to Arizona from Ohio and back. She keeps us young, wears us out, and we love her.

    Need advice concerning boarding

We have a vintage market business, and have been doing markets a couple weekends a month in the Fall. Sasha is 8 months old, and while she does well with people, we would have to crate her for long periods over a 2 day period. We instead have a boarding kennel close by, and have left her with...

Keep your eyes on the Doberteen…

Reason #9382 why you never take your eyes off your Doberteen! Lordy, she is a handful lately!🤪

Anyone pass Covid to your pets?

My husband was diagnosed with Covid the middle of last week. I started with full blown symptoms yesterday. We think Sasha, our 7 month Dobe, is showing symptoms. She had an occasional cough or sniffle through the night, and she has mostly slept with me on the couch. She still eats and drinks...

First STAR class in the books, and need recommendations for best camp bed for the pup please!

Sasha had her first STAR obedience class last night and she did ok! ( I, on the other hand, couldn’t remember to use the darn clicker!) This is my husband with her. She was 19 wks Monday. Sasha spent some time sitting pretty while watching Doodles jump about.
