Hi! I’ve had this bully stick holder by Woof for a couple of years now. I got it after being super impressed by the Pupsicle. I’ve been less than pleased with the durability of this product though. It is used two to three times a week. I don’t let him have it unsupervised and I take it when I see that the accessible part of the stick has been consumed, but after all this time it has really gotten in bad shape.

Does this happen to all bully stick holders? Or do you have experience with one that holds up a little better? Any recommendations are welcome. This one by Woof is around $20 I believe, so I do feel like we got a lot of life out of it. But I’d rather not get another that needs to be replaced again in a couple of years. The original one from Bow Wow Labs is the best one we've ever had and it keeps the stick in there for the duration. It does get some chew marks but that's to be expected.
They had dropped the original and started selling a new "improved" one that didn't work at all so after enough people complained they now offer the original again.

I order our bully sticks from Bully Bunches so I thought I'd try one of their stick holders and that one only lasted a couple months.

I agree about the Bow Wow bully stick holder. It's more expensive but has held up great over the last couple years of regular use. The only thing I complain about is that they design it to use their bully sticks; although other brands fit in it, you need to watch it to make sure the dog doesn't get the bully stick loose. I have a couple brands of sticks that I use exclusively and I don't want to use their brand.

I stopped ordering their brand of sticks because the shipping is so slow. The other places I order from (Bully Bunches and Sancho & Lola's Closet) ship pretty much immediately.

I buy the Barkworthies and Anderson beef, mostly the latter. Brio has gotten sick and had diarrhea on other brands, and he does not easily get an upset stomach.

I’m confused.
Why?
Does a bully stick need a holder?

I just break off a piece and let her go to town.

Colt will try to swallow them whole when they get down to less than about 4 inches. The bully stick holder makes him actually chew them properly and prevents that last bit from getting swallowed. I trust him not to choke on the last inch or less, so I actually pop it out of the holder at the end and give it to him, but I don’t like seeing a stiff 4” stick go down his throat. Plus what a waste! That’s another 20+ minutes of chewing if it’s in a holder.

Looks familiar, Angel has done the same thing. It doesn't really hold securely anymore -- either because of the damage or because he's strong enough to anchor and pull them out now, I don't know.

I have a rubbery eggplant, treat stuffer I use instead. Works pretty well -- he's watched with one eye with these of course.

I've tried jamming sticks into the Kong stuffer -- too good, still in there, can't get it out.

I'd recommend finding something he likes to play with, that can be a folder when you want. Finding something appealing and durable enough to withstand focused attention is easier said than done of course.

I spoke too soon. I ordered 2 more of the Bow Wow Buddy's yesterday and a 10 pack of jumbo sticks since I already had free shipping and they said it already shipped today. That's a first but I won't argue.

Well I received my order today and they sent me the "new improved" orange ones that I didn't want and they sent them in the wrong size. I have requested a refund or exchange for what I ordered (the original blue ones) so we shall see what happens.

Well that’s helpful information. Keep us updated if you will.

I have those holders too, and they 'hold up' to knawing by Falcon....you can tell which one he usually gets. ;)

I was killing time on my lunch break at work with nothing interesting to look at on my phone. Someone from a gaming group I am in posted about staycasino online httрs://stаycasіnoonline.net/ so I clicked it just to see what the layout looked like. Tried their crash game for a few rounds and walked away with a small profit that covered my sandwich and drink for the day. For players in Australia, the site runs smoothly on mobile data which is handy when you are not on wifi. Decent little find for a boring Tuesday afternoon.
If your dog has a strong bite, rubber holders like the Woof one just can't hold up forever :) Two years is actually a pretty decent run for a rubber toy

On a related topic, I found the now-discontinued Kong Dental XL chew toy makes a perfect holder for L & XL Farm Hound beef hide roll stubs. Same reasoning, when they get very short, to allow continued chewing while preventing swallowing of the stub. You can still find these Kong toys on eBay but not Amazon or Chewy. I trim off flailed ends with portable band saw, the push hard while rolling up into each end of the toy. Dobes have never pulled them out but will chew them down more. I then collect and give the short stubs to toy dog owners I know in our neighborhood.

We don't give Bully sticks to our current pair of Dobes, Neo & Lola.
