Hi all,
I am looking for good reputable breeders in the US that have experience in exporting a dobie to the EU, namely Belgium.
It is a dream to adopt a dobie again after many years without one and the US is the best option since they allow ear cropping and tail docking and don't have to do the RNATT blood test. I know Serbia is a known place not so far from Belgium but sadly they are required by law to do that test which will only allow for the dobie to come after it's 7 months old. The US isn't required to do this so I think it is my best option then. I do want to know if people here from europe also have some experience here importing from the US, if so, how did it go? Is it doable for the dobie? What should I look out for or be prepared for?
I know of one kennel so far, Imperium Dobermann and already sended an email to them. I am however also looking at local dobie rescue places, if the chance presents itself to save one then that might be a good bet to give the dobie being rescued a chance for a warm place with lots of love. But at the moment I want to talk with some breeders get a feeling about them and see where it leads me so welcome for any tips and help!
Thanks in advance!
