Me too! Like I said, I think she thought her name was, Leave it! I was following her around like a hawk. Plus she didn't have full reign of the house. Plus we don't have a lot of things on the floor. Shoes are kept here:
And she just learned that those were off limits. I tried never to have them any other place. Even when the kids came over. I said pick your shoes up and put them on the counter in the laundry room. Or put them on those mats. I just felt like she probably thought they were fair game if they were anywhere else. But she has never chewed up a shoe.
With your weather I would be borrowing or asking Annie to share her bed and be right next to the wood stove with her.
If it gets 70 I am hibernating. My body cannot handle the cold.
90+ is easy for me but here the humidity is very high and that makes it hard to work outside without being drenched with sweat.
We seldom get above 85 here except during late August through middle of October.
Ah, ya get used to it! Really, though. I hate the cold but it's so funny how when it warms up a bit, it feels great! This morning was -2 and it was darn cold out in the barn. But later, with full sun and 15°, I was really to take off my gloves cleaning stalls! 40° next week and I'll be sweating! Lol. (And I hate sweating too! Ha, ya can't please this woman!!)
How Annie sits that close is beyond me. Just sitting in this room now and it's getting pretty warm! Of course I'm dressed for outside, so.
