Cool and rainy first day of fall, yesterday. That means it's Doburrito season

I got Asha one of those sticks - I think it's a Kong? I sometimes use it for a reward when training if I need to keep it out of sight, it fits in a back pocket. I can't hide a ball and it's fun to pull out a toy when she's done something super-good and surprise her! I thought she might bite it in two, but so far it's held up great even tugging with it!

It’s the Chuck It Fetch Stick! I wanted to teach him to hold things (mostly just for pictures lol) and I thought this would work well because he wouldn’t think of it as a toy… I was wrong because it’s now his favorite toy! It’s funny to me because it’s not something he would typically like. It’s not stuffed, it doesn’t squeak, doesn’t crinkle, etc… I started using it as a training reward also and even bought a second one. You’re right about the tugging too, it seems to hold up pretty well!

Trendy and brother Crowley when they went training at Lowes around 7 months. They were both very good puppies and got lots of compliments and made a few little kids' day getting to pet them!

Those lumber carts must be used by most dog owners for training.

Since the sun spots in the house are getting bigger again, there's more room to bask in them.

This area is mostly green and brown, but the vivid blue skies make up for it, then in the fall a few splashes of color like this bright yellow.

Katyusha has first hand experience with those! I found them really useful for general desensitizing. She never did learn to actually enjoy the ride, but she did it and tolerated it because she was asked to.

Thank you!!! growing up my dad always had spiked collars for our Dobermans and so I had to get one

Great minds! Same used them too for Pepper she wasn’t a fan, but she did what she asked to do.

I’ve been trying to go camping for awhile now and every week it rains so we still haven’t gone. (Thanks hurricane season lol) Rescheduled our trip until the end of October and fingers crossed we’ll have better luck! I really wanted to do some sort of hiking so we drove to a park about 2.5 hours away this morning to check out the trails!
