Just a quick picture of Vito this morning! It’s one of those quiet Minnesota mornings, a bit of dew still lingering on the grass… not much sound outside aside from the occasional low roar of a school bus and a car passing by.
We walked about a mile this morning after breakfast, a few stop and stares at the darting squirrels… one of the neighbors standing in the yard with her male shitzu who clearly believes he owns the neighborhood, he barks and Vito gives this low growl that makes the owner tell her shitzu “no buddy! That dog would eat you to shreds”… I call Vito back to focus and we proceed on our way back to the house. Our oldest boys (who now drive themselves to school) are all walking out to the car, packing the 3 of them inside, and Vito frantically wags his backside up to them to say “see you later guys, be good in school!”… the wife and the younger children are putting the finishing touches on packed school lunches, and Vito is now walking up to each person saying “see you later”, they exit… I’ve gotten myself dressed, and sat down in my chair to pack my laptop and chargers into my bag, the local news in the background, Vito comes and sits in front of me as to say “you’re leaving next aren’t you?”… I decide “he looks so handsome in this moment, I might as well snap a pic!?” And so, this was Vito’s Wednesday morning.
