Here we go!

Stavros' first show out for points as a 6 month old and he won BOB over the #1 Doberman and #1 Guardian dog in UKC! He also won a Group 4 out of 8 breeds in a lovely lineup of some of the top Guardian dogs!! We just went for one day for continued good experience for him and practice for them both and he did so well for a baby!



This is Stavros' signature thing. He looooves to wrap you with his paws and give you hugs and kisses! Dad celebrating with him after doing good in the ring.

I know! I wish they stayed a cute baby forever but its so fun to see them mature too!

Stavros didn't win anything his first time out in the AKC ring, but we did take a pic and order a print for his spot on the dog wall in the office with his ribbons! He just so happened to shoot upwards in growth the week before this show so it was no surprise he placed second to the puppy that looked more like an adult.

He just turned 7 months at the time of this picture. He is a hair posty in this picture. He wasn't sure about the podium, lol. He's gonna be something though when he's mature!

I know, when I saw Kim Booth's (our amazing show photog in this area) backdrop I knew we just HAD to take a picture for his frame on the wall!! Its beautiful!

by leaning into his stack LOL I can't unsee it but I can see his qualities past it. I know his armpit doesn't show that much and he has a bit better return on his front than he is putting off because of him posting.

Thank you! I'm so excited for this boy to mature! I need to do something with him while we wait, lol. He's a bit young boy dumb right now to do any kind of obedience compared to Ripley at this age but maybe some trick titles to burn some mental energy this winter.

Updating Stavros show thread finally!


In January:
After working 13 days straight there was finally a sunny day that Derek was able to play for a day at the All American Bulldog Club show in Shipshewana, IN.

At 9 months old, Stavros won 2x Best Male, 2x Best of Winners, 1x BOB and a Group 2! This was Stavros' 2nd UKC show in the classes and only his third overall show in the classes between AKC and UKC!






In February:
Our young man Stavros was entered at the Indianapolis AKC shows solely to gain experience and learn how to gait properly on a lead again. He's been a bit rusty since a lot of our focus had been on Ripley for 3-4 months with her puppies. Stavros grew up overnight in that time frame. Surprisingly, they earned a Reserve Winners Dog at the Doberman Pinscher Club of Indiana Specialty! 4 dogs pulled that day so it broke the major but I was happy they looked better each day! The ribbon was a nice bonus.
