Hummingbirds! Biggest crowds are from middle of August until the temperatures start dropping.
Great shots! Same here with them hitting the feeders the hardest starting this time of year. I made another batch of nectar today and I'm not sure if they'll head out before I use it all or not.

DAAAANG! that is so cool!

We have two little females that are constantly fighting over the "rain garden" feeder (I have four total feeders). I just wonder if feeders/nectar sources here are aplenty enough that they don't really "have" to share. I don't think I've ever seen two birds sharing one feeder, here.

Since I change mine out every couple of days or so, I make a double batch and keep the extra in the fridge (I only put a couple of inches of nectar in the feeders at a time). I changed all the feeders out around mid-day yesterday and they seemed to enjoy it was still refrigerator temp as it was nearing 100 degrees.

Edit to add: have I told this story before? My SIL has always bragged about her humming birds (she lives in a suburb further north west) and I always kinda shrugged it off as just that, bragging. We were at her house last summer for a get together and no kidding! Birds everywhere! I was extra surprised because her feeders were full of mold and clearly are not changed out regularly

I saw this snake while walking with Remy last night. Not sure what kind it was. Originally I thought it was a black racer, but from what I saw online they have a more “scaly” look and this one almost looks to have stripes. It wasn’t very big, maybe 1ft at the most.

Maybe one of those creepy lizzards discussed a page or two back?
