Dingaling spent the morning at the Emergency Vet getting stitches in her face 
had the pups outside with me early this AM and was doing my general putzing. Didn't hear a fuss or a yelp but when I called the dogs in, Rubies face had this big gash on it!
It looked like more than what Vetericyn could handle so took her to the E Vet. He said it was quite deep and jagged. Got her all stitched up!
Just hit our deductible for her insurance, luckily
$1250. I'm sure it'll leave a scar but add it to the many others from bouncing off things.
Moo was confused (Rubie was there for about 4 hours) so we went on a long "W" around the neighborhood and he got to jump in the nearby pond.

Did you figure out what caused it? I wonder if she was busy barking at something and got too close to something that cut her up like that. Tree branches, bushes, torn fencing?Dingaling spent the morning at the Emergency Vet getting stitches in her face

I need to do another sweep of the yard but interesting thing is she wasn't barking at anything this morning! Bunnies, squirrels, and birds she chases without barking but she'll body slam anything in her way
AND stick her noggin in places it doesn't belong.It's like they know!!!

Oh, just now seeing this. ((((cyber hugs)))) So grateful it was not an inch or two higher!!! Yes, poking, prodding at something but not barking. Yikes. Glad she will be OK. Now she can be officially known as Scar Face. LOL.

Oh Ruby, Ruby what have you done? Don't you hate these things that happen seemingly without a cause? Remember Cheyenne with the big gouge over her eye? I never figured out where she got that one either. And it was pretty bad. And of course it happened on a weekend too. And my birthday! SMH

Elroy out enjoying a nice day today - 8.5 months. I didn't have a real camera with me since I'm still carrying Olive down the steps. She's been able to go up since she got home but I can see where it's a little scary going down.
