Must be able to sleep in Kingsize bed. Or be smothered. Must be able to handle snoring and paws in your face in the middle of the night. Also must be able to handle strange sounds and smells. Also be prepared for sudden jumping up and growling and barking ferociously for unknown reasons in middle of night. All bark. No action! Don’t worry about getting up early to take this dog out it will sleep in until noon even if you have to get up at 7 AM. Serious inquiries only. Love, Kobe

Oh I always wanted an extra packable snuggable Doberman. Please send him in a box with bark amplifier, it's supposed to ensure the package doesn't get lost.

I love this!!! Made my day :)

I wake up to whining always a hour before my alarm goes off
I don't have the whining anymore, but Asha's head is a clock. We get up around 5 a.m. and she starts stirring about 4:55. I DREAD the time change. She will start stirring at 3:55 a.m. and not understand why I don't want to move for another hour...

They got the timing all figured out don't they. I haven't needed to use an alarm clock the whole pandemic because the little terrorist knows when I'm supposed to be up. He also can't differentiate weekend sleeping in with work days 🙄

Our 13-months old dobergirl is like a human teenager - she easily sleeps until 11 without making a peep :)
If I get her up early to potty, she usually goes right back to sleep after we get back - what a rough life :)

LOL ours are happy to sleep til the cows come home if dad isn't home but he always wakes them up early to go out so they have to do that and go back to sleep on the couch. On my days off they'll get up with him, then come back to bed with me until I'm ready to get up a few hours later.

Maybe I'll start a new thread on Dobes sleeping hours - we have some really different dog habits listed here!
That would be fun! Our first dobergirl hardly ever slept past 8:30 am and was "in bed" by dark. Our current dobergirl generally is a sleepihead in the mornings and most nights is really active, even after she had a long walk and good run. It is fascinating!

Now for another fun question: Do your dogs react to music?

Dobergirl #1: No, except for David Parson's album "Dancing with Cats" - she would frantically check every corner of the house for hidden kitties.
Dobergirl #2: Not generally, but when we played an Andragard album a couple of days ago (Swedish Symphonic Progressive Rock), she turned into a complete nutcase - attacking my husband's feet, nuzzling me aggressively, and just really hyped up. As soon as the album was over, she plopped over and fell asleep :p

I have never observed a pet react to music that did not have some kind of animal sound in it (e.g. meowing or howling) - this song had no animal sounds at all. Until she calmed down after the album was over, it did not even occur to me that the music may be affecting her. We play music all the time and lots of different styles and this was a first. I wonder what she picked up on?

None of mine react to music however get excited when I clap and do singy songy dog talk! They jump around all excited!
