You can’t know if it’s soft tissue damage. Whatever punctured him is most likely causing the limping so I would get it cleaned up and wrapped. If you have any analgesic you can give him some for pain.
Or you can dose with Benadryl to take the edge off his pain.

He should be fine as long as it’s kept clean and Veterycin applied to it on each bandage change. I am sure the vet will check to make sure there are no tears to the tendons or ligaments.
That area is sensitive since it’s so close to the elbow and movement will be uncomfortable.
He most likely will put him on oral antibiotics since it’s a pretty deep puncture.

After you get him all fixed up the next thing you got to do is.... figure out what the hell is cutting himself on! it's just so amazing that he just healed up the last one! Poor guy.

Dogs and cats too have a very low susceptibility to Tetanus so a vaccine is not necessary. Just have to make sure it’s kept clean.

I'm not saying that something more serious could be wrong but I will tell you that sometimes their reaction looks worse than what it is. Not that it doesn't hurt but it makes it look like it could be something else. Not too long ago Kali was limping and all scrunched up when she walked. I didn't know what was wrong with her. I looked through everything on her and even though she was holding up her paw I didn't know if it was her leg or her back or what! She was presenting so weird. But it turned out she had a little sprained ankle on her front paw. A day or two before she had jumped up in surprise when a bunny ran past her. I think I posted about it. Well she must have come down on it funny and injured her leg. I even had them take X-rays just to be sure and there was nothing wrong but holy cow she looked terrible. I thought she broke her back or something. But when you're in pain you don't want to walk, you don't want to do anything, so I'm not saying he might have done more damage than what we see but just know that him not wanting to walk might be okay. Maybe just let him rest after you get that wrapped. You might need someone to help you.

Thank you for saying this. Im in tears and my family is like he will be fine. I feel like Im doing him wrong by not doing anything but I know that that is not necessarily true. I appreciate your words of encouragement

How much Benedryl would I give him? He weighs 90#? Can I give Benedryl since I already gave him some Meloxicam?
