I think at his age, whatever he will eat is all you can ask for. Whatever he wants! Hugs to Buddy.
Keep in mind he got hit with a pretty good dosage of diuretic. Moisture is important to making those stools right. The pumpkin has moisture and fiber, so good choice. I would soften his kibble with some salt free chicken/beef broth. That should help also. Hopefully it will help make it more enticing as well as add some moisture.
I did that tonight along with some melted coconut oil and he finished everything right up!

I went to the breeder looking to buy a 10 week old black and tan female puppy. The pup had a little hernia and I was just scared of taking a chance with her. Then the breeder said to have an open mind and let me show you something. And she showed me Buddy. 
7 month old, red, male. We took him home that night! So I came home with the complete opposite of what I went there for! And I have never regretted it!

@MyBuddy, don't want to sound like a commercial, but if Buddy seems to like raw I recommend Stella & Chewy's premade raw frozen dinner patties. They are complete, including organs, bones and veggies and many other good things. Meat is ground, so no chewing necessary.
Not that I am necessarily a raw feeding advocate per se, I feed both raw and kibble (separate meals), but just for the sake of information: My old Boxer who had Degenerative myelopathy completely refused kibble for his last six-seven months. He lived to be 14 years and two months old, weighed 80 lbs in his prime. When I took him off the kibble entirely and he got only raw his health improvement was in fact remarkable for a few months, before he continued to decline again. I couldn't not notice.

About the same. He did eat his dinner last night. And it was such a beautiful day yesterday that we were outside quite a bit. Went for our walks around the pasture a few times as well as laid in the Sun. Last night I had them both out with their lighted collars while we we're busy doing things. Then took a long walk down to the mailbox. We have a long driveway.
. He got me up twice last night to go outside.
another beautiful day today so we will be outside a lot because cooler weather is on its way!
Good to hear he ate his dinner last night and good he is still getting out and about, I do think the cooler weather helps them and always good to have a lay in the sun , have you got to have a review for his medication with the vet's in a couple of weeks, only asked because King is on 12.5 my vetmedin twice aday and he has 1.5 tablets of cardalis 10mg/80mg aday , I wondered if Buddy is having a lower dose because he is having antibiotics as well.
The vets office called yesterday as they always do to check up on how he's doing. I told her I probably will need refills on some of the heart pills at least. I actually wonder if they didn't give me a lot because they didn't think he would make it. 
I'm sure they're thinking that you don't want to purchase a bunch of pills and have something happened. They're too expensive. So she said she would check back with me on Friday. We'll discuss it then.

We can only get a prescription for a month at a time for King as well , when I asked for a larger amount was basically told his life expectancy was reduced so would only prescribe one month at a time due to the cost and they don't take unused medication back.
I was able to get more than 1 month. There have been periods where Vetmedin was on back order so I stocked up when I could. I also found a compounding pharmacy that made it for a fraction of the cost.
None of it went to waste because I paid it forward to another dobie. I've lost 2 boys to DCM. Both of them were beneficiaries of meds from dogs lost to the disease so I passed ours along as well.
I only get the prescription from the vet's which we pay for and buy the drugs online from pets drugs online, if we didn't have pet insurance the drugs from the vet's would cost nearly £800 per month pet drugs online charge us £142 per month same drugs same boxes, they require a prescription from the vet's to be uploaded then send drugs by courier, our insurance then refund us the cost of the medication, I haven't heard off forwarding any excess meds to another dobie will look into it in the UK because if people have no insurance and can't afford the drugs they have the animal put down, so would definitely be interested in any system that might help another dobie with DCM.
About the same. Last night he went out to potty about 10 p.m. and didn't wake me up all night. I am up at 5:30 this morning and after going outside he wasn't interested in eating. Even with some goodies on it. But little by little throughout the morning I got him to finish it. We went for our usual morning walk even though it was a little chilly. Later on the sun came out and great for another walk. We'll be trying another meal soon.

He did! Not as fast as usual and needed a little coaxing from me, but finished it! And then we went for a walk.hope he eats his next meal
Another potty at 10pm for Buddy and he didn't bark at me all night. I did wake briefly once to find he was not in his bed. 
He was on the floor a few feet away. Not sure if he was uncomfortable or what. But I felt/ heard the familiar 'plop' in his bed (next to me) later.
He hasn't eaten yet but I'll get coax him a bit later. He's sleeping next to me by the fire while I read.
