Breeder in Massachusetts

Hi I am looking for a female Doberman for service work and was wondering if anyone has any experience with a breeder that is located in West Wareham Massachusetts. I found them on AKC and the parents are health tested. Dynamic Dobermans is the title but I'm not finding anything on here or elsewhere with any previous experiences with them. The breeder name given is Brandi Lynne Morais if that means anything to anyone. She says that the bitch does service work and that the dog competes which isn't very informative as I don't know what exactly he competes in. If anyone has any experience with this breeder or has ever even heard of them I'd appreciate any input you could give me. Thanks in advance.

I did a quick search and didn't find much. I did come across this

The concerning thing for me is where the dam is from. I'd take a minute and research that kennel before you proceed.
A better place to start your search is with DPCA. DPCA | The Doberman | Breeder Referral
Thank you! I have found another breeder that is on the DPCA breeder referral list and have contacted them instead. My gut just told me something was off about that other breeder and I don’t want to take a chance. Thank you for your time and input

hello, so the confusion may be that i am new to breeding, and my husband is my mentor whom bred previously which i have never said differently: and the funny thing is that I breed with Von Schwarz dogs and have since i started this venture. there are no negative reviews and yet if people wish to go with their "Gut" and go somewhere else, it is their right. But I have never done anything or lied about what I do. If you want a private breeder whom gives you 150 percent of their time, love, and devotion to your pup- then come on over to the wonderful breed and genetics that i have started to bring closer to bean town.

The first thing to learn if you want to be a breeder. Don't take things personally. Not everyone is going to click and that's okay. Purchasing a puppy is a HUGE investment for people and that's not just the purchase price. Hopefully it will be years of time, effort and love, so yes, some people need to have their "gut" feel good. :)

i do understand, thank you-I know not everyone is going to like me-but that still stings the soul a little sometimes. i am not taking this personally- I do realize that I do not yet have any established reviews, and am working on that. So far I have 9 happy families waiting for pups that I have poured my heart into 24/7. they will be amazing dogs! my last batch produced a licensed service dog as well- And there was only 2. I can imagine what 11 will do. all the best

No doubt it does. Hopefully it always will because that means you have a heart.
It will take years to establish yourself as a reputable breeder. You've got to have some longevity in your lines before anyone will take you seriously. The doberman is not a healthy animal, therefore people look for longevity. As a beginner, spend your time studying pedigrees and the health problems the doberman has. Make sure you understand them as well as the testing that should be done. There is a lot to learn about genetics and pedigrees before you get to any longevity. Breeding should only be done to improve the breed and it takes years to understand how to make that happen.

thankyou for your excellent advice, yes I have been researching this breed and studying it for four years will dedicated full time passion. I thoroughly have health tested my gene pool and do have proven genetics with my last litter. I am also backed by my mentor and husband whom previously and successfully bred for over 20 years so I have not gone into this blindly, but it is under my direction now. With all major kennels like the one I got my DAM from (50 years) there will still be issues, but fortunately my dam is in great health and has passed all of her health testing with flying colors. As is the Sire I bred with. I do not take this lightly, and understand all of the health issues which is why I chose to test her and then go ahead an breed. She is an amazing dog with traits to good to not pass on. Previously i was a Rotti girl, and this breed won me over hands down. once again thankyou for your kind comments.

Hey there, not sure I’m doing this right it’s my first time on this page. I bought my first Doberman from Brandy, A male about a year and a half old and weighs 102 pounds. I have never dealt with any other breeders before but I can say one thing she is awesome I still have a relationship with her, she will answer any questions that need to be answered, and she always gets back to me no matter what.

Question to both
@RAVENvonD
@Louie2018

Is 102lbs an average weight that you strive to achieve?

Louie is a handsome Doberman by the way.
hi, thankyou i am so proud of him and his owner! I do not breed for weight but health. Generally healthy males weigh between 85- and 100. Some do get larger but I haven't seen any cousins above 105. Louie's father's son is the Sire of my present litter so they have the the same genetics albeit the dams also which was also a European Working Titled dog. king regards

Do you have the AKC pedigree of both your Sire and Dam to post here?

Just curious as to the lineage. We have a post on here somewhere of a lot of our members pedigrees and I have found out that my Ragnar has a couple of cousins on this forum. Really kinda neat if you think about it.

By the way, I am not questioning nor trying to disrespect you as a breeder or you litter. Just asking questions.

I think it’s great you do what you are doing....if you are doing it for the benefit of the Doberman and not for your wallet.

wallet, that's funny ha ha no disrespect either, I am still in the hole with my first litter about $5000. and hopefully will break even this litter as it does cost about $11,000 to breed and health test as I have done. I never went into this for profit but the sheer love of the breed. My dams pedigree is on my AKC marketplace Ad, and my website RavenRanch.apertureindigo.com the Sire's is as posted. all the best
