This morning she didn't wanna come out. She run around nothing letting me put her leash and harness on. Playful etc it was 44 degree I let he pee on newspaper played had food went to sleep.
Went to work came home 3.5 hours later put her the harness and leash she seem happy to come out.
Headed downstairs super confident it is 54 but showering she came out saw the rain went on strike at front singing like a wolf. I kept on concrete covered gave her treat etc didn't wanna pull her shews running back in.
Any idea or thought u like to share? How are yours with rain and cold.
She seems happy healthy eats drinks let me pet her body everything but seems dose not like the rain and cold.
I am not buying her jacket as it is almost summer and the way she grows up going to be small in a week.

LOL, all Dobermans think the rain is going to melt them so they'll try anything not to have to go out in it. When ours were pups I'd carry them out to the fence and let them know the faster they did their jobs the faster they could come back in. It didn't take them long to figure it out. And 44° really isn't that cold for them to just go out for a potty break or walk so she should be fine with it.

Everyone was watching us on street the way she was singing it was such a show!
It is very wise idea to train her that way specially in winter so she learn faster she gets it done she will come back in.
I carry her next round! Drama Queen is watching the rain outside now!

LoL wow yours seems saw a ghost.
From upstairs I see the park and off each area even a chiwawa is outside walking with owner.
Also I see a husky running from the owner and diving into mud not to go home as well but they love snow and rain but chiwawa come on unbelievable...

I have weirdo dogs. They actually like the rain. We had about 7 inches of rain over the weekend and my weirdos were out trying to splash each other while it was pouring. Had to force them in when the lightening started.
We just never made a big deal about the rain. I took them both out on a leash as pups when we were still potty training. I just put on their leash and said let's go and they did.

My girl also isn't bothered by the rain. She arrived here in the rainy season so going potty in the rain was normal. I also made sure we played games and got treats in the rain when she was little. Swimming however, is a no go!

Mine don't mind the rain either. They think it's a huge game. Puddles to splash in, rain drops to chomp at. I don't recall any of the dobes when I was a kid having issues with rain either

Yesterday finally she stand at the door looking at me begging to go out 7 pm. The princess like a cat was checking the depth of water on the grass and going around hem if it was deep while other dogs splashing at each others!
When I feed her if I am not sitter and she can lick my hand after eating she is coming and goes between my feet and legs like a cat rubbing herself at me. Is the other kitten move of hers. I am surprised she let me bath her specially she is getting bigger we find outing next round in 2 weeks.
Annoying part I am open water swimmer Paddle Board teacher and swim coach for kids and Triathlons as well as Yoga teacher. Need to work on her specially for Paddle boarding.

My last dobie was NOT a fan of the rain and wouldn't go out at all in it, but loved swimming more than anything else. My new guy couldn't care less about the rain, hasn't been swimming yet though.

Well both yesterday at the evening and this morning were showering so we had some success but still she goes around the waters on floor so I jump and splash on her! She went on strike again by bitting and pulling her leash after getting splashed!
She dose, bite and pull the leash back if she dose not like something or correction or if I give her too many commands in row!
Any suggestions how to fix it? Few times I wrestle and got it back few times I redirect the attention to some other object. This happens almost everything if I stop her playing with other dogs even if the other owners pull their dogs she goes on strike. I have seen some adult dogs even do it but like the idea to stop it asap on the best manner.

Second round successful she released her safe outside in front of the door on concrete then wanted to come in. They don't like rain.
Ps: I gave her a bath yesterday when I was washing off kher face and belly I loft her up under showers to
finish off she started swimming in the air it was cute.

One thing I agree with Cesar Milan on is acting happy and confident when boldly going on into situations your dog or puppy may not be comfortable with. Assuming the confident leader attitude has worked for me with a fearful dog and with Hans when he wasn't exactly willing to go out in the rain. It worked again just recently with Hans. We had to remove our front steps because they became unsafe. This meant that we need to use the back door that Hans was afraid to use because of a small gap between the house and the deck. I put his prong collar and leash on, got my "we are doing this" attitude on, and he went through the door like he'd been doing it his whole life.

I don't make them go in puddles and stuff if that's what you mean. I'd try to keep it all a positive experience so I'm not sure splashing her is the best thing.

I see your point but this round she started getting playful. Also I am a rusty male. I wear military boats and walk straight can not corner everytime is a puddle. _20170505_134553-1482x2421.webp
Needs to learn and follow!
Ps: my dad pushed me in pool I was scared of water for 2 years now training kids and triathlons as swim coach I know it was not the best approach however I end up swimming in open water for 4-5 hours a day every summer from 14-21 years old.
She can not be my dog and wear paw covers everytime we go out ....

Just march on and don't give in to the "I'm melting" puppy attitude. You are going to get wet too. You are in this together.

I see the pic now and I feel bad I made her walk around 6 blocks in rain as she was too energic however we came home she went to sleep I went to work. No singing no barking none. Came back some shit some new place but it was strike method.
She needs to get the energy out. We stayed in park abit it was no other dogs out to play with little rat was hiding under me chewing stick me in middle of park standing in rain.
So hard..... Then this lady came with fancy clothing and duck face told me u should get her a harness I almost said..... Anyways.... What a day poor girl. However, she needs to walk it is not healthy to be inside and she will act up.
Everyday I do 30 min training wih her but 500 sqf indoor ( she is allowed this much of my condo) is not roomy for 13 weeks old.
About Cesar Milan I actually don't agree with him most time but he is dog trainer and I am people trainer so not my profession. ( not sure which one is the hard one)
I follow k9-1. Com tips and u saw her in video. They work wih German shepherd in their videos but u saw the result I watch all the videos even from Milan and few others and mix them.
Hopefully a video coming soon.
