We had that problem. Rumor was supposed to come home a week before she did. So I understand your disappointment.

This is Rumor. I had washed the crate pads and threw one on the chair to put in her crate after I put the rest of the laundry away. She decided it looked like a great place to take a nap. She is really too big for the spot but balled herself up to fit. Silly girl!

No I didn't. Vera contracted the shipper and sent me the info. Shortly after the cargo company sent me a email with the info I needed. I think that included the waybill and flight info. I didn't know what I was doing so I called customs as well as the cargo company at the airport where she was being shipped. I wanted to have all my ducks in a row because we would be about 5 hours from home. It went very smooth and we had everything taken care of in less than 10 minutes.
Maybe Vera could give you the name of someone in the UK that she shipped to that could answer questions for you? I'm not sure how it works there.

Ok, so I pick up Gelert on the 9th Feb between 2 and 3pm. So thats ....... 10 days, less the day we pick her up coz we're not really waiting but travelling on that day, less a weekend coz they're not working days. 2nd Feb is Groundhog day (USA), 5th is Weatherman's day (USA), and 6th is Bob Marley day (Jamaica). Jeez that's only 3 days to go!
Genny, Vera sent me some videos of Gelert playing with his brother and he has exactly the same expression as Rumour.

Genny, Vera sent me some videos of Gelert playing with his brother and he has exactly the same expression as Rumour.

Yep, that's the male version of Rumor. The boys are bigger than Rumor but I'm betting you could throw her in the pile and she would hold her own. She's a tough one that fears nothing and I mean NOTHING!

She said it was a day off, but I guess it's few hours rather than a full 24 hours, "ear day off" are my words not hers. She told me on a previous occasion that when she re-posts the ears, she gives all her dogs a few hours without posts before applying the new ones.

It works! In the end that's what counts.
Rumor's ears are standing really well. I took her posts out the other day and some friends happened to stop by. I got distracted for probably 4-5 hours when I finally realized I hadn't reposted them and they were still looking great! She has started teething and we have several big dog teeth so I'm hoping we won't be posting too much longer.
She is very good about it and actually loves to have her ears cleaned. When I clean them she usually doesn't want me to stop.
She is actually pretty good about anything I do to her. She loves her bath and sits still at nail time. I am just thrilled with her. She is a very busy pup but as smart as can be. She learns really fast and has several commands down pat. The biggest challenge we have had is getting her to slow down at meal time. She loves her food and wants to make sure she gets it all...NOW! But with a lot of patience I think we have that problem solved.
I have no doubt you will be very happy with Gelert. I'm excited for you!

I watched the three videos of Gelert. Handsome guy! That's how I want my next Doberpup to look – nice and big and healthy. Between my daughter gaining one pound her entire 5th year, and my male Dobe being 70 lbs. at 2 1/2 years, and me having trouble keeping on weight, I am developing a complex.

I'm really excited too and I'm encouraged by what you tell us of Rumour's behaviour, temprament and personality. I think that Vera raises her pups in a loving and unstressful environment where the pups are allowed to socialise with other dogs of all ages.
