UDC Nationals

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this year. I am so sad - I love meeting and sharing with eveyrone as we show off our dogs and compete. It is a thrilling time and I wish all the competitors a safe, fun and fruitful UDC Natls. Here's to the great dogs that will be there!!! Wish we could join you, but we are planning our on regional show here in the fall.

Maybe you can come to our trial in the first weekend of Nov - that is not set in stone yet but that is the date we are submitting to the board.

I was thinking about it.

I'm the obedience chairperson this year and I sure could use some obedience stewards. It always helps things run smoother when you have them lined up before hand. It shouldn't take long and you will get your name in the pot for the worker's raffle.

Once I see for sure if I am going to be able to come or not I would love to help out.

Is there a certain date you need to have the names of stewards by?

I am super bummed I can't go. Teufel was super stagey but is now looking pretty nice, but I have no money to spend on a cross country trip... He is even registered and has his score book. :(

I might be able to make it to Suzan's trial... I really wanna hang with other working Dobe people!

Lets hope. Importing is a real son of a gun. I was told that my one female would take best of baby's show

I know a guy with a Russian import who waited nine months to get his pedigree, and another with an Italian that waited almost a full year for his papers.

Lynn - How awesome. Yes get your paperwork because then you do have to reg them prior to showing with UDC for UDC reg and getting your scorebook. The scorebook stays with the dog for the rest of its life. The scorebook can also be used to show in DVG events.

You can contact Linda Kura when you get your reg. You will be pushing now to get it in time for the show. If I can help let me know. Wish I could be there this year. I lived in Cary for 6 years.

Yeah, been waitin and waitin, emailed FCI in Russia, they don't return emails...so I will have to play by ear. Lynn

Lynn~ most of the registries in other countries move at government slow! Your Obi Wan puppy should have come with his export pedigree though... My pup came with his export pedigree taped to the crate. Of course Slobodan is very nice to the people in his Kennel Registry office. He brings treats and flowers and such... The Obi puppy is able to show if you register him. I wouldn't worry too much about the paperwork on your girls until they are closer to a year. Maybe contact the breeder for advise on contacting the registration office.

Edit to add... Definitely register all of them with the AKC, even if you never plan to show in that venue.
