Yummy snacks

So been looking around and trying to find some yummy snacks to put into the dog food or even use at a treat.. would love some feed back on what some of your use.. right now they LOVE carrots, I use steak and rotisserie chicken..been hearing people use pumpkin, do you use can stuff?? What do you guys use!!!!

Just be careful with rotisserie chicken. It has a ton of sodium. I would recommend just boiling plain chicken. We use a pressure cooker. Frozen chicken only takes about 20mins to cook.

For toppers we use canned sardines (in water no salt added) coconut oil, blueberries, strawberries, a little banana when I make his frozen kongs, egg. Theres so many other things we haven’t tried yet.

We feed a raw diet and this is a typical meal...





Whole sprats, whole organic egg, clementine, blueberries & spinach.
If we need to add pumpkin, it’s from a tin...

I bought a simple dehydrator and mostly use it with chicken. When I can find them i also dehydrate chicken feet and hearts and liver.

For the most part it’s plan chicken but sometimes we give them the left overs.. I’ll have to try the sardines cause I so see them enjoying that.. and I have used the bananas before also as a toy filler.. thanks for the tips

What doesn't he eat? I think the sardines are probably the best addition ever to his raw diet. He loves them and compared to fish oil capsules, his coat is the most shiny it has been. We recently got a compliment on his coat from a person with a full black dog that was quite shiny as well. We swapped notes on what we feed - the sardines were the only difference! Bonus: Way cheaper than the Krill Oil capsules he was getting.

We add one to his morning meal, 3x a week. Make sure they are in water only, not oil or salt.

We mix their meals up between the paw feeder and a bowl.
You can purchase the paw feeder from Amazon.

Has anyone come across this dog food before we have to fill out a questionnaire about your dog and they come up with recipes for them they do dry and wet food and they are supposed to only contain 100% natural food only available online got some for King to try they do about 15 different recipes will let you know how it goes he had chicken & duck this morning really liked it

I’ve seen their adverts on the TV.
I’ve typed it into AllAboutDogFood.co.uk - (first stop for all Brands, totally independent) and unfortunately they’re not giving it great reviews.



Always check the ingredients list first.
A good quality good will always be packed with fresh ingredients! Check out the ‘Red’ highlighted Ingredients, they are the red flags.

If you read the composition and see cereals, animal derivatives, meat by products.... just walk away! Honestly your dog’s digestive system will be exhausted trying to process such poor quality food.
Tails use clever marketing but the food they produce is poor. To add, Purina now own a majority share of TAILS which should put you off.
I would certainly look at Forthglade wet food as an alternative...

Thanks for that information will use the free box they gave me then change over I phoned them last Friday and explained Kings health problem and they offered two weeks free to see if he got on with it just wanted something different to what he has been having so will look up Forthglade and try a order i did see Tails . com recently bought out by purina thanks again Viemarangelrock
