Millie, usually the dog that seeing an open door or gate, can’t help but bolt through it.
Yesterday while I was gone the wife had to leave unexpectedly and in a hurry to make a meeting we forgot about.
I get home and put away the items I had been out for and we go out back.
As I notice the side gate open about a foot, so does Millie.
She saw and raised her head, alert.
A breeze opened it a slight amount more.
She dropped into stealth stalking mode.
Using a raised bed planter and a lawn chair for cover to get closer, undetected
She thought someone or something was coming in.
The lowest of undertone growl, her little Mohawk up on her rump.
Slowly stalked out that way, giving me the look of “do you see anything?” As she does.
And? She didn’t bolt out after confirming no bad guys were around.
