Those were some badass dogs and Marines. I'm glad the one USMC vet campaigned to bring the dogs home instead of letting them be put down.
I have a friend who is Japanese and lives in Japan. She had a dog for a while, chained in her backyard b/c otherwise it would jump the fence. She was horrified at the idea of letting it into the house at all. That's what they think of dogs there.
