So we are on day 3 of chicken and rice, day 1 was just water. We are finally getting normal-ish poops! So I figured another day or 2 of the chicken and rice, then slowly begin to introduce new food. So the question is how slow do you guys recommend I introduce and in what quantities to not only give his tummy a break but so I can see how he is taking to the new food before it gets out of hand again....As far as Vinnie is, he is basically back to his clown asshat self:)

Great news. Thanks for update.

You going:

back to old food that had no poop issues?

back to new food that caused poop issues?

to a new food overall?

oh, yes, that info might be helpful huh lol. No I got a new food. Food #1 was grain free and until I know what the deal is I stopped it. Food #2 got him sick so I am planning to start food #3. Diamond naturals chicken and rice...it was on the list of top 20 foods so I figured I would start there and see how it goes.

My Princess has a hard time when I switch brands of kibble. For us, I do a 1/4 cup per week. So week one 1/4 cup new kibble mixed with old kibble or in your case chicken and rice, week two 1/2 cup new kibble, etc. Its a long transition to get to 2 cups of new kibble but that’s what works for us. Good luck with the new kibble. I think several members use that brand.
