Bit of a story here, I take my Argo Jogging nightly along a local trail. I recently saw that one of the houses along the way got a puppy, looks like a boxer. Well this is the 3rd occasion now that they dont care to leash or restrain it, and although I know Argo is trained well, and listens to me, it just runs after us when we pass by.
Last night it happened as I approached their area, The dog comes running half a street towards us, so I got Argo in a sit, and came between him. Harmless little puppy but a lot of energy wanting to say hi. I got him by the collar and held him until the kids who were supervising him came to try to hold him.
I then continue to the other end of the street where the trail meets up, only to hear the kids yelling and here comes the dog AGAIN the other way right onto the trail after us.
I jog with my dog off leash, so i literally had to loan them my leash to get their dog home while we went jogging and then I was able to just hold his collar for the street until their place to pick up my leash.
I feel so bad for this dog, I mean I am scared for its life the way it runs out on the road, even though it is a residential area.... I hope i see the adults of that house soon...

A nuisance now, but could be a problem as he matures. I hope the owners step up and contain him. And hopefully get him into a class or something productive.
What happens if a less trained dog comes along? Taking responsibility for their dog when you are in training with yours is not the answer, though a good one, just go off with the dog
serve them right. Helping to restrain with two leashes makes it your responsibility
and it's not your responsibility. I guess I would talk to them without my dog, make them aware of dangers because evidently they are clueless, they cN even put their kids in danger running in the street going after the dog. This is for them
