Throw Back Thursday

We were talking about lap Dobermans the other day so I looked up this oldie. This is my husband holding our 1st Doberman back around the late '90s. We got Duke in 1995 and of course no date on this photo. 🤷‍♀️ So that's my best guess on the date. Duke looks full grown.

That's my dad too. He saw us build that home and this one. But died about a year after we moved in here. He never saw my dream of horses realized but I'm sure he's watching from above. ❤️

That was/is a great photo. Didn't we use that in a calendar a few years ago?
My apologies if I had posted it before. I just ran across it today trying to compare the 2 at age. I don't know if it was a calendar page, I'll know it going forward though, as I will be buying the dcf calendars now.
What a cool photo!
thanks! It continues to be one of my favorites of the 3 of them together.
Edit to add: when I turned it balck and white they all the sudden looked like thugs LOL.
It's been a year and a couple days since we lost our last horse, Zeus
Sorry for your loss. I know nothing about horses but I think he's very handsome to look at!

Back to January of 2018, I had ordered this couch pillow case and it took over a month to arrive. But it is one of my favorite dog memories. I got a pillow in it and set it on the couch, and Toby was all about it and totally posed with it. The first is 4 tiles of him checking it out, and the second was his pose to look like that dog. Collar color was not planned. Also no frosting on the muzzle yet at that age.20180121_164256-COLLAGE.webp20180121_164013.webp

Speaking of poses, I was just going to post this in the throwback thread! I looked at this picture I took of Annie on June 4th and it reminded me of my first doberman, Duke. I ran for the picture because I knew it was right here in the kitchen cabinet. 😄Annie is not quite as old as Duke is in this picture but the pose is pretty spot on! We just got him in 1995 and that photo shows December 1995 so he may have only been a year old. He looks so big!

I just found this thread! Love all these photos....here is my very first Doberman, got him out of the newspaper for $200. The people insisted on 'delivering' him to us....RED FLAG. He was gorgeous; but had many issues. Go figure. I used to have him come up to kiss me.
