Thoughts on Orijen food?

Nice to see you again! Our dogs have always been on TOTW and do great with it. I agree that Fromm makes a great food too. Hopefully neither one of those companies change their formulas since I pretty much rely on them for our dogs.
Hey Jan. Hope all is well. I've been thinking about TOTW again. I took him off of it years ago when they had the huge recall and never went back. Going to take another look at the ingredients. Thanks.

When I was chatting with them yesterday the woman did tell me that they were now adding 11 mg to the six fishes. This is so frustrating...I keep thinking I've found the right food for Addy and thought I'd made the right choice by switching to Orijen but maybe I'll take a look at Fromm's.
It is frustrating when they change indredients. Im pretty sure it was the chicken formula that has the most copper at 30 mg. And then there is the bag size changes. Small bags are now 4.4 lbs instead of 5. Medium bags only 13.2 lbs something like that. Makes a difference. Of course the price is getting crazy too.

Is that food in Canada? Never heard of it.
I don't know if Zignatures distributes in Canada at a physical store. I googled it and there are some Canadian on-line retailers that carry it. I did not realize that's where you are. I was introduced to it at the holistic pet store I shop at but I also noticed that the feed supply store carries it as well. They've never had a recall. Again, I just recently switched to Zignatures because Princess can not have anything with Chicken in it even chicken fat makes her itch so I'm limited to what I can feed her and I like that I can switch her protein source.

It just finished the gradual process of switching from Purina One to Nutrish chicken. My boy seems to be doing well and the gas has started to subside lol. I talked to my breeder and asked why she used Purina One. She just said she's used it for years with all her Dobies. Did find out she's tech challenged and never researched it. My pup was is great shape when we got him, but wasn't comfortable or confident with the Purina One. I tried to do some of my own research and looked around for what was available locally. Science Diet and Nutrish was about it for decent dog food and going raw doesn't work for use (yet). If anyone knows anything bad about Nutrish, please speak up.

Pet store owner confirmed to me the other day that Orijen / Acana was bought buy a corporation a couple yrs ago. Now I understand the slow but methodical ingredient changes.

Axl is itchy, losing weight, eating tons of grass and drinking lots of water. So frustrated.
