The wait is FINALLY over!!

We've been waiting to add another Doberman to our family since last summer. Litter/Breeder #1 didn't have a puppy for me. Neither did Litter/Breeder #2. Cue breeder #3.

For her current litter, I was 8th in line and there are 8 puppies, though she may be keeping one back as a show prospect. I was prepared to wait until her next litter if I needed to, when she contacted me to let me know she's decided to place a pup she had held back from her previous litter. Woo hoo!!

After some hasty schedule rearranging (I'm a nurse, so I can't just randomly take vacation days), we're driving from Illinois down to Georgia next week to pick her up.

I can barely contain my excitement that it's finally happening!!!

Wow super exciting! I have to say- driving a few hours and finally getting to the breeders house is so awesome. And the first time I laid eyes on my boy I smiled ear to ear! I will never forget his feet hitting the ground and sounding like a horse as he was chasing their cat. He had such big paws.

Looks like it was from a litter but the breeder held her back to keep and then decided to place her. That's kind of how I got Buddy at 7 months old.
