I think of it as such:

It's not the dogs fault or sometimes even the owners fault when they have to give up their fur child. I live alone with Linus and I'd love for Linus to have someone to play with, but I don't want to get another Dobe permanently. So I can kill two birds with one stone and foster them. Although, I failed with Cody and had to take him back, there will be next time. I did their website for them and maintain it, and now I'm fostering too (when they send me another).
