Swift Paws (Fast Track for the backyard)

I was watching Shark Tank last night when I saw this product! It's a Fast Track unit that you can set up in your own backyard! It's still a little pricey starting at about $500 but a very good way to exercise your dog.

The cheaper one isn't very long. If you were trying to set it up for Fast Cat practice (because it would have to loop back), you'd only get 150'. That's only 1/2 the course. And if you set it up like UKC's Percision coursing, (I think) it would make it too sharp for a medium to large breed dog. It would be great for smaller dogs.

Unfortunately, you'd have to go with one of the bigger ones.

That's actually a great idea and I never thought of it. I'm hoping our club can eventually get the stuff for fast cat but the funding just isn't there yet. Our trainer has a perfect field to set it up in.

There's three different sizes. The cheapest one they show for a smaller dog. The most expensive is more like for a Doberman. It's not really mimicking the length and size of the fast-tracking. It's just something to exercise your dog a little bit. If you look up the Shark Tank video the girl brought her dog for a demonstration. The dog was probably about the size of a Weimaraner. It didn't really run much but it was still a lot of activity for exercise and that's what she was selling it for.

Oh wow I watch Shark Tank all the time and never saw that one. I'll have to look it up.

Could be but some of those cars are pretty expensive. Especially when they catch them! And how do you have it run on grass?

Oh they can run in any terrain when you get a good one.

They use these for the UKC precision coursing but its used/put on by the company and I'm pretty sure they use a couple of them! Its neat they sell them for consumers. Too much out of my price range when a chuck-it launcher and ball work just as well for us.

Just a whirring sound gets Rubie riled up because of Fast CAT trials! There are some kids in the neighborhood who have RV cars and Rubie gets neurotic when she hears them (WHERES THE BUNNY!?!?)

RC cars are a great idea! I usually just find the shortest grandson, stuff a white rag in his pocket and tell him to run really fast!

OMG, Joker turns into a maniac when he hears it. If my husband isn't with me, I can't take Joker anywhere near the FastCat run!
