Stimulating dog toy recommendation?

Hello there,
I was just browsing for a good and durable stimulating dog toy for my Dobbie. He's over a year old, and he tends to look for anything that he can rip apart when he's bored. We are looking for something durable and a toy that is oriented toward larger dogs.

Kong knots animals are not stuffed, they have rope inside so they are great. Also, chuckit has a variety of rubber balls that have been durable to us and they have a variety of sizes.

This other brand is supposed to be durable as well but I have never tried it. Goughnuts

I also buy him Himalayan cheese and elk or moose bones and they last a very long time and he likes to chew on then when he is bored.

I will look into Moose bones, but am afraid of giving him elk bones as he threw up last time we gave him one. I'm not 100% sure if it was the elk bone alone that caused him to throw up, but I will avoid it for now.

My girl's favorite toy is the Busy Buddy Barnacle. She had the small one as a puppy and has had the same large one for 7 years!!

Haha, my dog is the same, that's why I always look for the most durable toys, so that they may last.
Also, do you know how hard those Benebone chew toys are? Because a while back I bought a nylabone for him, and the only one they had in stock at my pet store was the extreme version. He barely chewed it and I understood it was a bit too hard for him.

Wow, 7 years sounds incredible. He currently has the Planet dog Orbee-tuff dispenser ball, but in some instance, depending on the treat it will easily fall out since the hole is pretty large. So, I will definitely consider this toy.

They aren't so hard that they don't want to chew them but they do last for ages. I've had the same ones for close to 3 years now and they're still going strong.

We have had good luck with Kongs But get the Black ones they are tougher.

A great question, in my opinion, as toys are a crucial aspect in the growth and development of dogs and are essentials on the list of supplies of any dog parent.

Toys help keep dogs mentally engaged, teach them various skills and also help release their energy. Dogs are also susceptible to mental health issues and need mental stimulation, love and physical exercise to stay healthy and happy.

yes this is the best......... they love it..indistructable... cleans teeth.. keeps them busy.. and it lasts a long time...... this in my opinion is a dobie bone.

I spent good money on a rubber chew toy from Playology. My boy Toby has destroyed everything I have ever given them, except that Playology toy. I consider it money well spent. Their rubber toys are infused with bacon, beef or chicken scent to keep them interested. It's been going more than 6 months strong.

I will also now be looking into the benebones.

I tried the Himalayan yak chews and they chewed them up to the point I thought they were getting dangerous for them, so they're out for our dogs.

You mean when they get small? That's the best part! Soak it in water for 30 min or so then remove from water and microwave. They puff up into an airy Cheeto like treat!

Agree. Everything else is destroyed. She does like the kong ball that has a ball inside of it. It has 2 handles and is pretty darn durable.

i found Gong chew toys to be pretty good also except the red color rubbed off of one chew bone type i bought... and they are mostly hard rubber. which after awhile they don't have as much interest.. so far the only negative i have found with the Benebone or Barkbone that they are heavy,, and if you have tile floors or other fragile type floors.. when the dobes decides to drop it.. you hope the floor tiles don't crack.. Lol.. and its loud..
