Sassafras at 1 year

That's a beautiful girl! I'm just starting the posting process and hope I don't run into the issues you did, but if I do I know this place will help.
And I'm having a hard time believing my little pup will grow to anything close to that size in 9 more months

Perpetual motion, hyperkinetic, decibel level 90+ whining, always chatty, late night speed licking, sighing and groaning, incessant barkers over a fly buzzing around. These are traits I see in this breed.

With my male, it has to be bulldozer, he has no time to go around it, therefore he goes through it unless of course it’s a fence. He sails over a 5’ fence like he is jumping over a blade of grass. My female will lithely jump over the obstacle. She is ‘graceful’ personified.

They have many idiosyncrasies that are specialized to this breed only. His perfect pitch howling at sirens is actually pleasant and melodic, his whining...not so much.:D

Boy did you nail it. Fences only keep things out, not Dobermans in. There is a six foot dune between our cottage and the lake and six steps down from the deck. She patrols the beach from the deck waiting to rid it of the errant Canada geese and seagulls that gather in groups on the shore. She goes from the deck without touching a step, goes up the dune in two strides and sails off top to the bottom of the other side on her way to rid the world of the evil water foul. It's a blast to watch them scramble for the water.

Wow has she grown into a beautiful girl and once again I can't believe yet another is already a year!

If only the newcomers to the breed who think they can get by with posting for a couple of weeks since they're already standing would realize what will usually happen shortly if they let them go and think they're done.

Happy Birthday beautiful girl!!! :dobe::party::hb:
