Bully Stick Holder Recs

Hi! I’ve had this bully stick holder by Woof for a couple of years now. I got it after being super impressed by the Pupsicle. I’ve been less than pleased with the durability of this product though. It is used two to three times a week. I don’t let him have it unsupervised and I take it when I see that the accessible part of the stick has been consumed, but after all this time it has really gotten in bad shape.

Does this happen to all bully stick holders? Or do you have experience with one that holds up a little better? Any recommendations are welcome. This one by Woof is around $20 I believe, so I do feel like we got a lot of life out of it. But I’d rather not get another that needs to be replaced again in a couple of years. The original one from Bow Wow Labs is the best one we've ever had and it keeps the stick in there for the duration. It does get some chew marks but that's to be expected.
They had dropped the original and started selling a new "improved" one that didn't work at all so after enough people complained they now offer the original again.

I order our bully sticks from Bully Bunches so I thought I'd try one of their stick holders and that one only lasted a couple months.

I agree about the Bow Wow bully stick holder. It's more expensive but has held up great over the last couple years of regular use. The only thing I complain about is that they design it to use their bully sticks; although other brands fit in it, you need to watch it to make sure the dog doesn't get the bully stick loose. I have a couple brands of sticks that I use exclusively and I don't want to use their brand.

I stopped ordering their brand of sticks because the shipping is so slow. The other places I order from (Bully Bunches and Sancho & Lola's Closet) ship pretty much immediately.

I buy the Barkworthies and Anderson beef, mostly the latter. Brio has gotten sick and had diarrhea on other brands, and he does not easily get an upset stomach.

I’m confused.
Why?
Does a bully stick need a holder?

I just break off a piece and let her go to town.

Colt will try to swallow them whole when they get down to less than about 4 inches. The bully stick holder makes him actually chew them properly and prevents that last bit from getting swallowed. I trust him not to choke on the last inch or less, so I actually pop it out of the holder at the end and give it to him, but I don’t like seeing a stiff 4” stick go down his throat. Plus what a waste! That’s another 20+ minutes of chewing if it’s in a holder.
