Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2026

Asha met up with her niece yesterday - they did the Doberman thing play fighting. I'm always amazed at how both of them only do this crazy play fight with each other as they are the only Dobermans each of them knows. Play with other dogs it just doesn't happen. (Asha is the leather collar)

This last photo is awesome!!! Like they’re hitting a high note 🎵 😆

For the second week in a row, I took Zastava to the Tuesday night trap shooting league. I was so very proud of her behavior both this week and last. She knows where to be and not to be, she checks in with me between each lane change (every 5 shots we all rotate shooting position), and when the shooting resumes, she calmly saunters back to the clubhouse to get attention from other team's shooters. No panic at all, just looks like "oh this is going to get loud again so I will move back and get pets". The scorekeeper is also the high school trap team coach. He told me after our shooting that I would improve my score a lot if I wasn't trying to make visual contact with my dog after each shot, because she does just fine and I don't need to mind her. I have always thought that one milestone of Doberman maturity is when they make good decisions on their own, without being watched, and I guess someone else had to tell me she is there.

What a unique experience for her to learn from! Well done!
