We hadn’t planned to let Kaiser off leash during our walk so we didn’t have a toy with us. Instead we tried to play with a littered water bottle and he didn’t want it. Then he ran across the field towards this giant “ball”. First he snacked on it, then he peed on it 
He owned it! Or claimed??then he peed on it
Take advantage of those nice days! Did you see the freeze warnings? Ugh!!
It's so dry here, and Asha LOVES to roll. Like dive in head first, push off from the forehead down the back kinda roll. So she gets a wet towel at least 3x a day. And just like a horse, right when we finish a work session and she's free to go, first thing she hits the ground to roll...

So I have this picture from a trip a year and a half ago that I've always wanted to submit to the calendar contest but.... Dog Dad is cheesing in the background and can't be cropped out!
We (late to the game) just got new Google Pixel 6 phones and they allow you edit out background stuff. First thing I did was say, I love you BUT edit yourself out

Moo joined me for an art sale, today, where we were also selling donuts!
There were a lot of other doggos and Moo did great walking past them and got to lick children's sticky fingers and get so much loving from very polite people who asked!

We stopped at a truck stop to sleep for the night before a show over the weekend as there weren't any hotels nearby. Ripley decided she was working night shift I guess while we slept. 
She did eventually curl up. She's not really one to bark randomly thank goodness but it was too funny to see her on alert when we were supposed to be sleeping!

Yes, thank your lucky stars. I have a regular Rest Stop when I go to the club in AZ where I take Asha out to pee. As soon as we pull into the parking lot she starts humming (growling). If someone walks close to the car before I get her out of it she breaks into barking at them. In the dog area she does her bizzies while watching everything/everybody. She is insanely determined to announce to the world that she has arrived and to stay back. I'm pairing Quiet! with the e-collar if she explodes. It stops it but I'm still working on preventing it.
If the e-collar isn't on, she's learning to flatten down if I yell Quiet! but will keep humming.

When you are tired you sleep easilyWith all those lights how did anyone sleep.
The back was a little darker as we were parked away from all the lights. I think that's why Rip was much more on alert.Believe it or not, cookies. Ripley was starting to get pretty reactive in the car, especially to people with dogs. She was expressing big feelings basically that she did not find it comfortable or cool that people came too close. I started counter conditioning her feelings when seeing people by tossing a handful of kibble or treats in the back seat the moment she noticed someone, way before blow up. She maybe would get a grumble or bark in but eventually she would progressively react less and less as she came to expect food when she saw people. At times she was reacting (grumbling as it hadn't grown worse yet) at people being a mile away from the car! I knew I had to do something before it grew worse. Well, tossing treats at the right time has worked quite well and now I can allow her to alert me, I look, tell her thank you and that's enough if I feel it's fine and she lets out a sigh (probably all that tension she's feeling) and gets a treat for letting it go. I don't want her to not bark, she is a doberman after all, but I want her to be quiet when asked. With time she seems to be processing her feelings better and learning what is something to be concerned about and what isn't. I'm pretty happy with the counter conditioning method. I'd have to move all this discussion to the training threads to describe all the things I've tried. Short answer is yes, we've done the scatter and depending on the situation she doesn't care. She is definitely over-reactive to a fault.

Hugs to you. I know she's your perfect girl otherwise! and that one point has been something you have been battling forever. I'm sorry the scatter method hasn't worked on top of many other things. Reactivity stinks.
