@JanS slight OT, but how are you liking your fiber internet now that youve had it for a while? Makes me smile seeing pics of Rips littermate almost every day. I see so many similarities in them. I wish the other littermate owners were as pic happy as we are 🤣

I swore after Bogie broke my jaw when he was under a year old, that I would never put myself in that position again.
But wait… along comes Legend.
Legend came running out of nowhere just asF98A4256-F670-4E0E-B4D8-0E56F4A7D5E1.webp I bent down to grab his blanket to bring off the porch.
He ran straight into my head as I was bent over, catching me just above my eyebrow. Almost knocked me out.
It sent my glasses flying about 25’ and I almost crumpled from the pain.
Now I have a mild concussion with no broken orbital bones thank goodness.

It did. I was on the phone with my husband and all I could say was mother tuck and dropped the phone groaning in agony. I could hear my husband screaming in the phone asking what happened. You don’t know how bad I wanted to scream F@$k over and over but my parrots were on the porch so Tuck had to suffice.
What is weird is it hit above my eyebrow, then this morning the blood must have dropped down to create the Smokey eye make up look , except for the swelling.
I am just now getting my vision back in that eye. It was a total blur until this morning.
The nausea finally went away today.

'Tuck' because the parrots would learn the bad word :spit: 'Smokey eye' was funny too lol. At least it was not your jaw OMG, you had me like this :wideyed: for a minute.

Wow Bri - ouch!

I don't think I've posted many, if any photos from the fall show when we still had the horrible internet but here's one. We really need to get Phoebe's confidence up so she will animate better like Ripley and the others do.
Guardian group lineup better.webp

She looks good! When is the next show for her? Does Phoebe like any toys? I know how easy it can be for them to get burnt out or shut down, it's a constant on my mind as it can even happen to the most experienced of show dogs. Derek brings a tug toy with him to play with Ripley outside the ring before and after. He's even feeling comfortable enough to have her do a few of her favorite tricks inside the ring when they are waiting for their judges exam. Spin, wave, bow, touch. Gotta keep it fun fun fun for her. I'm excited to watch Phoebe's growth in confidence! 😊 She's gonna be a rockstar.

Does Phoebe like any toys?
Her pigs of course so I did bring one of those and her invincible snake for when we were sitting during non show times.
When is the next show for her?
Our clubs licensed shows are in July so she'll definitely be there. And of course the fall show in Bemidji is in September so we'll be going to that as well. I'm sort of limited on what I do this year when I work weekends but next year I could venture out a bit more when I'm retired.

Their hard heads! ouch!

Wow those plants are beautiful! Are they just goant succulent-like plants?
They are Perry Agave, the only agave plant that can tolerate freezing temperatures. Native to my area in the south west, but ranges well up into the mountains and high altitude. Same family as the agave that tequila comes from, but evidently the Perry doesn't make tequila... They are beautiful, but absolutely not to be sat on. The indigenous peoples used the sharp needles at the top of the leaves for sewing needles. I'll post some other photos in the non-pet photos for you if you'd like.
