Like Kali, squirrels are to be chased!

Out feeding the horses in the morning and when I open the overhead door I always do a quick "wildlife check". Kali will sometimes get through the door quicker than me as I wait for it to get high enough for me to get out. There was nothing visible that day, but certainly something was there at one time and left a scent? I made sure she came back inside with me! Those raised hairs mean something!

I can't remember if I posted this but our breeder made this for us the other day.

I met up with a freind who has two of katyshas sisters today to get some social practice in a retail setting. Then I left Katy at her house while I grocery shopped. Picked her up and we were walking to the car. My freind sent me this photo with "when your BFF has to leave and go home.

Had a friend visit yesterday to watch football and he is decided NOT a dog person. Those are Rubie's favorite kind he fielded a few Pet Me Punches from her

They always know too! Ripley is the same way. My mom has always been a no dogs on the furniture person, don't lick my hand etc... So when she comes over to my house she knows we allow different things. Don't sit on the couch if you don't want a dog leaning against you Ripley knows and works overtime trying to win her over. I think she's doing a good job





We are hosting our family's Christmas this year with my parents, grandfather and my brother and his family with their two boys. Ripley is gonna be in heaven.

Got a little snow yesterday. The chickens get a path from the coop to the barn where they hang out all day.

I had some coworkers over many years ago and gave them the Don't Look Into Her Eyes and Just Leave Her Alone pre-emptive talk. Within 5 minutes, she was leaning up against my one co-worker who is VEHEMENTLY against dogs. And of course, he was petting her

Dare I say... I'm a little jealous of your snow! We don't typically have snow here this time of year but when the days get so short and you don't see the sun for weeks on end and everything is just wet and brown and drab... I need SOMETHING to look at!!

Over the summer when our daughter was in town, our son and family came over and we all watched some old home videos! One of them was a video I took of my brother surprising my parents by driving up from Florida. At that time we had our first doberman, Duke. It was so funny watching that video! When they pulled up, Duke was barking at their car like a madman! They didn't even want to open the door. Then when they did get out, my brother was getting the usual Doberman nudge at his hand! Pet me, pet me! Every time Duke touched his hand my brother picked his hand up like, "Ewwwwwww"! You can tell in his whole demeanor that he was not liking that dog! LOL First the dog practically attacks them when they pull up...then it wants to touch his wet nose to his hand! He didn't want any part of it LOL He's not really a dog person. Or any animal. I don't think he's ever had a pet at home. But we had a great time laughing at him! At the time I was busy videotaping and barely noticed all this going on. So it was a riot watching it now.

Thats a pretty good deal! Ripley has a crate pad made of that same stuff but its a simple liner not very thick. The outside edges though are stuffed for cushion. She thinks its basically a giant suckie and balls it up to slobber all over while suckling.
