Prince passed away

It's been a while since I last posted on here. My boy Prince made 5 years old 3/23 this year. He passed away Monday morning - 4/20/26. :(
We were playing fetch with the frisbee and I went in to grab something inside after our session and I walked out and he collaPrince.webppsed and died. I'm devastated and completely lost without him! He was my best friend. :disrelieved:

It was tough training him during his Dobershark/Doberteen years, which we all know, but with my consistent training, I ended up the "The Best Dog Ever". Everyone loved Prince. He played well with children, other dogs and he learned every trick in the book that I could teach. They are so smart and willing to learn.

I just wanted to tell new Dobie First time owners....stay consistent with your training with your pups and make it fun. Once they mature, they are the best companion you will ever have. It's all worth it. He was my shadow and I will miss him dearly. It's so quiet in the house now and I'm having a hard time with it.

Prince had a very fun-filled and adventurous life. I am so glad that I was able to provide that for him for the short time he was here with me.

Hug your Dobies tight and give them all the love they ask for every day with their noses and cute ways.

Oh no, I'm so very sorry! :sorrow:

It's so disheartening and I've seen it happen more than once with seemingly healthy Dobermans who just collapse and pass; normally due to an underlying heart issue.

Run free handsome Prince...

I'm so sorry for your loss of Prince. They never stay long enough, and 5 years is way too little time. 💔

So sorry…I remember Prince. He was a challenge for you back in his younger years but you doubled down and put a shitload of time into him. You taught him rock hard obedience but also a shitload of cool tricks. I was always impressed by your posts and Prince’s accomplishments.

My boy Ragnar passed a while back and it absolutely wrecked me for months. I just became numb and void for a while. Best thing for me was to put my time and attention in my female Doberman Freyja. It worked some…the pain will always be there, it just seems to diminish with time tbh.

There will be no other like Prince as there will be no other like Ragnar. My advice to you is to not waste all the knowledge, hardships, frustrations, solutions, experiences on nothing…get another and bless him with all that Prince taught you because my Ragnar taught me a shitload of great do’s and horrible dont’s…

It would be a damn shame if you just stopped, you really became a really good self trainer.

Good luck and keep in touch if you can.
