This is actually Prada but yes desensitize the feet in case a helper would step on one or kick one, the dog still maintains its grip. So, please make me clean on this...In training Grace, when I touch her feet she releases now, with out my command, which is an old trick I learned back when...so, your man was training Blaze to ignore the touching??? and wait for the command???
If so, I will work on that.

Never stop learning, I always say you can learn something from everyone you meet, you may not need it for the dog your training but now it is In Your tool box of tricks for possible boy another dog. Thanks guys...an old dog learns again.![]()
This is just a short part of her session on the table. Basically, the dogs must grip with a full mouth and not chew, while trying to stop the bad guy. They can not loose or slip the grip from any stress, this could be pressure from the stick, stick hits themselves or accidentally being stepped on or kicked.Help me out here....
For one, no way I would be bending over and putting my neck/face anywhere close to her teeth.
They are only trained to bite the sleeve? Ever have one want to move to a different body part?
I somewhat understand the importance of holding the bite but do you have her on a “hold bite non-aggressive command” as if to bite and not defend your position?
Or is that the purpose of the table, to defend the area of the table?
What I mean with “bite non-aggressive” is that with a bad guy, I would think that not only she would bite but also be very very physical?
I used to have plans drawn up for it. I have a couple others wanting drawings as well so I will rescetch them and send you a copy.Love that table you built. Did you design it ? Are the plans available ?
Here is another clip from same session.Help me out here....

Definitely different levels nerve/hardness along with different levels of drives and intensity. Dogs can also get shaken by a bad experience and need more confidence building. Sometimes if the dog has week nerves a bad experience can ruin them.@Doberman Gang
Gotcha.
“Nerve/hardness” can’t be trained, it is a given characteristic in the dog. Are there some dogs that have a higher threshold of nerve/hardness than others? And then, the ones with lower thresholds of nerve/hardness work/train to intensify nerve/hardness?
