Post your Halloween pictures here!

Agatha does not do well with random strangers encroaching on anything she considers her 'territory'. The house and yard, the shop and all of its yard / property, any vehicle they are used to riding in...

Puts on a good show for strangers in those circumstances but is the exact opposite out in public places around strangers (people or dogs).

I know, I'm such a downer. I don't decorate my dogs LOL  But we do decorate our house!20250930_194445.webp20250928_200458.webp

And I got these at Aldi's! Way before Halloween. They're really pretty and they came with a timer. I don't buy any lights anymore that don't have a timer. They were so pretty and of course my daughter and my daughter-in-law wanted some! So before they sold out I went back and got a couple for everybody! They go fast at Aldi's!

This was at the end of September where our son lives. It was a whole town Fair and parade. Looking for a spot to park I saw this! 😳

And back in September again I saw these at a garage sale.

20250925_130531.webpI actually saw them at the same garage sale last year. Obviously they are not selling them. They were $150! The lady said because they are vintage. 🤷‍♀️ I know we've got a couple of those up in our attic we didn't even put out this year.

20251011_120751.webp I told my husband, you better hang on to them, they might be worth money some day! lol We've had them for years.

And yesterday one of our horse friends had a little get together with the girls. Her house was decorated so cute. Nothing scary just autumn decor. But of course a lot of horse stuff! This one was my favorite! This is from the Painted Pony collection. I have three of my own but I don't have this one.

OMG! I just thought I'd look up that horse to see if it was still available and how much. Well it's retired. And holy crap look at the price! On ebay!View attachment 156902
It can be crazy what values can do over time. As a much younger man, I bought an authoritative book of calligraphy alphabets for $14.95. A few years back i got my pens and ink out again but I couldn't find the book. Went looking to replace it and that particular edition was selling for $400 plus dollars. So I bought the most recent edition for i think $20 ish. Where did that book go????

So we had a get-together last night. Total of 6 guests and a dog came over. Asha has never seen that many people in our house before and we'd never had another dog in the house, but they'd met the dog outside several times - an ancient old lab who is completely deaf and doesn't see very well either. Dogs were very good, Asha better than she's ever been except taking a swipe of the food table with her long nose - which I think I remember just the past week or so here saying "she never counter surfs". That's what I get for boasting. The cat was even ok with her until she sniffed him, then he did what cats can do: Bap, bap bap on the nose.
Here's what Reckless & Asha wore:

I was nervous as heck when I got Agatha and first brought her home.

Circumstances did not allow any sort of proper introduction on any sort of neutral territory so the existing Dobergirl pretty much just had the stranger dog walk right in her home and take up residence.

Even if you 'think' you know what your current dog will do / how they will react - You got the extra stress about having to wonder how the new dog will react to another dog being in the same home ALL of the time.

Was cutting the grass today and left the girls inside alone, unsupervised and together while I was doing my stuff outside for about an hour.

Even after 6 months of Agatha being here and earning a good level of trust - I still stopped what I was doing and went inside twice for a few seconds to actually check on them with my eyeballs...
