Mowgli Update! - 7.5 months

Hi everyone! I haven’t posted in a while but wanted to stop in and give an update on Mowgli.

I truly never believed I could be the owner of such an amazing animal. He is the most well behaved dog I’ve ever had. Of course he is still a “teenager” right now so he has days where he’s a little crazy, but I just love him so much.

I haven’t gotten his weight recently but at 6 months he weighed in at 58 pounds and he seems quite a bit bigger now to me!!

I’m not going to lie, I was pretty nervous going into this because of how many untrained dogs I know. I was so dedicated with training several times a day and still am, and it has really paid off. My parents visited and were so surprised at how well mannered he is! My biggest accomplishment in my opinion is how good he is on the leash

That’s definitely bragworthy! Nothing is harder than walking a pulling maniac. Did you find the harness made a difference for you?

Most definitely. The first week that he was home I was using a collar and he was very timid at first on the leash so would stop, and I’d have to tug him along. I didn’t like tugging at his neck so we started using the No Pull Freedom Harness at around 10 weeks of age, and he has been a dream on the leash ever since
