Monthly Cost of Kibble vs Raw Food

You guys have me doing math on a Friday! The mid grade food was $1.60/lb. high grade (exotic protein) is 3.70/lb. We plan to have him on Trout through the summer which is 1.62/lb.

@Tropicalbri's Acana is 98 a bag here local you save a couple dollars if you order it. But he eats around 5 to 6 cups spilt into two feedings the acana bag makes it a week the following week I’m back at the store. 4 weeks in a month and there goes a easy 400 out on food

It maybe more he’s taking in but pretty sure last measurements was around five cups but since he started ppd I did bump him up a little more, but my bags MIGHT last a couple days past a week. The increased trips to the pet store is actually what made me do the math on it lol

Holee molee. I would definitely be buying online with Amazon or Chewy at that price. Free shipping, you can set up automatic refills too.

$66.99

Is the pet shop a fru fru specialty shop like a chic boutique? They are robbing you at that price!! I would order from amazon or Chewy and get a discount for autoship.

I live in Central America - no premade raw here and best kibble available is Nature's Variety, Nutrisource or TOTW. $80-100 for 30 lb bag. I do home cooked and as meat is expensive here, I spend about $150 a month on Ziva who is 58 lbs. She gets a few kibble meals a week from one of the above mostly to give me a little break from the food prep.

@Tropicalbri's im sorry for the mix up I group bundle acana/orijen from habit. I actually only use actual acana bag if orijen is out. Since we only have one store to purchase orijen/acana food, now I understand the miscommunication sorry bout that
