Looking for a good puppy food

Not to hijack anyone's thread, but does anyone have an opinion on blue wilderness's taste of the wild? I use the rocky mountain red (puppy) for my little guy but he seems to still have some dandruff.. any ideas? Bad food?

I don't know about the food, but is the dandruff recent? Could just be caused by it being Winter.

It's been since I have had him. My brother and dad have two German Shepherd pups a month older and they have the same problem, both on different foods...but I think theirs has more to do with loosing that thick undercoat?

After all the recalls with Blue Buffalo (and there has been a lot IMO) Whenever I hear the name, I cringe. I would never feed that. :nono: My daughter was feeding her cat BB treats and I told her do NOT buy those! She said, but she love it! I said, do NOT buy those. Then I showed her the recalls. She doesn't buy it anymore. :D

Well, remember your dog is what it eats........Or so the saying goes anyway.

A good food is expensive no doubt. Here in western Montana a good food is nearly impossible to find so we've resulted in using " CHEWY.COM " which has the most reasonable pricing for all foods. I have fed Liberty and Justice ziwipeak for several years now. After leaving the RAW diet behind because mainly of the entire " pain in the butt " process of feeding and storing, ziwipeak was the best alternative. Not cheap, but worth it.

There has been quite a bit of success with JAN S using Taste of the Wild as she swears by it.

Im in Colorado and I find it's super dry in this side of the Rockies. Nero has dandruff too but generally really lustrous shiny coat.

As my vet once said you can't judge a food by how much a dog likes it. Put down a dozen donuts and your dog will love it but that doesn't mean they should eat donuts.
Ain't that the truth!!! I love chocolate, but, alas, I can't live on it either. :(

I'll bet! Every time we went to CO I thought my nose would break off, it was so cracked inside! lol!!
