Little Lord Vader

I picked up my new best buddy last night! He was born on 11 September. He's very black. His dad had some black on his feet, Vader has a LOT of black. His bowtie is barely visible. He's just getting settled and is doing well, he has gone potty outside only so far! He goes into his crate by himself when he gets tired too, so hoping for an easy-ish house breaking time! He'll be seeing the vet on Monday, so I'll have a weight for him then.

His back feet are just as black. I'll try to take some more pics when he wakes up. I tried to take about 100 so far, but he won't stop moving! 98 were a blur!

Thanks! He's pretty sweet.....so far! My wife and I are only bleeding in a few spots so far, so it's a good start! He plays, plays, plays, then drags a toy to his crate and lays right down

It's interesting because he does not have rich rust markings – they're more tan – yet he has high melanism (a lot of black). Do you know what type of lines he has? Not trying to get too personal here.

I have the AKC #'s for the parents, I can check in the future. I met both, they seemed to me to be a mix of US/Euro to me. Both were large bodied, but had the US head and legs. No pigeon chest! The father is black and rust, with a little black on the feet but not much. Whatever melanism his dad had, Vader has more. The mom is a standard red.

Oh, he was 11.25 lbs on Oct 31st at 7 weeks 1 day.

Went and had our consult with the vet that will be cropping his ears. I was so relieved when she started talking! She has been doing it for over 20 years, uses a laser, and her style she had in mind was exactly mine!! It will be next week.
