I actually had to do a search on here to remember the exact day that we adopted Kali. I was surprised to see that it was actually today, April Fool's day!
I knew it was in April. I just wasn't sure of the exact date.
So here we are 12 years later!
She has turned out to be a perfect fit for our family. Even now, as the only dog, she is a joy to have! Active, my shadow, and friendly, she follows me everywhere. She loves people! She's a great traveler and loves going in the car. She's been my companion several times when I drive alone 5 hours to our daughter's house. She loves playing ball, going for walks with me around our property and treats! "The squirrel" is her only nemesis and she will let you know if there is one within viewing distance.
The only thing she seems to be afraid of is a snake and Thunder.
She survived a two coyote attack in August of 2021.
She's a great mouser, kid friendly and very loved! She was a great choice! She's our little farm dog!

😳 You read that right. And I added that she survived in the title so that you didn't have to read through this whole thing and worry! 😉 So... The Story Goes... Our daughter and the twins were in town for a long weekend last weekend. We were all at our son's house a couple of the days swimming...

Super adorable when she was meeting the horses too. Seemed to be a great match in energy while being such a little thing surrounded by bigger animals.
but I just wanted to acknowledge that she is 14 years young! Except for her glaucoma in the one eye, she's doing quite well! She actually seems a little more active within the last 2 months or so. She enjoys going for a walk with Annie and I and will actually run at times. At least when Annie is not right by her. Because she's always afraid that if she runs it will excite Annie to run at her. And she's a little intimidated by Annie's size.
She does look fantastic for 14.
