I saw this on Flint's elbow and for quite awhile I thought it was a callous. I looked at it closer, noticed it was pinkish and very hard. Flint doesn't react when I touch it, poke it hard, move it between my fingers or squeeze it. Since I got him a better bed the rest of his callouses seem to be slowly going away, but not this.

It's been on my radar for almost two weeks. If anything I think it has become slightly bigger. It's not hot to touch either. Any idea what this is?

UPDATE: It has gotten bigger and Flint's skin is splitting and starting to look wet. I have some veterinary spray that is antiseptic and antifungal. I am going to try to treat it like it's a skin infection and see if it gets better. I have to apply the spray twice a day for a week. This was something I found at the store.

I would check with your vet if it doesn't improve with the spray.

I am fairly sure it is ring worm. This was a pic from a few days ago. It is looking better, more and more like normal skin. It got scaly on the edges like what happens with ring worm. I've been on top of it with chlorexidine spray. I'll take another Pic tomorrow and add it so you can see the difference.

I recognize that last photo you posted....we had a dobe years ago; who had that on the top of his head. To me it looked like a small volcano, with hair growing out of it. That was how he looked at 7 months old when we got him; so not sure if it started as a bump. We were having him neutered, so the vet just cut it off and stitched it. They never said what they thought it was. (And I don't neuter my boys that early anymore!)
