Green tripe

I buy ground green tripe in 2 lb tubes. Joker & Echo get it 2-3x a week. However, Diva isn't suppose to have most organs due to their high purine levels.

Is green tripe considered organ or not?

Well it is the stomach lining of cows, lambs and other animals so it's at the very least part of an organ. I looked at the ingredients on some that I have for Rumor and it was no help at all as far as purine levels go. I wonder if a call to the company would give you any answers?

edit:Tripe contains a moderate amount of purine, and therefore can be fed in moderation.

Researching what is best for a Dalmatian, this is the best chart most have recommended.

Some of the foods on the "Red Light" list make me wonder if they might be a bit too high in purine for Dobes as well. Especially the organ meats & seafood as well as spinach.
