Now it's my turn to ask for prayers and good vibes.....Logan got this lump on the side of his foot about a month ago. We've been watching it and it has grown, we've had two apts but had to cancel due to me ending up in the ER and Dr with 2 broken ribs. He limps some when he has been running allot and does not seem to bother him if we push/touch it.....Today we went to the Dr's he did an x-ray and it's very visible, you can see the swelling but you can also see 2 things coming off the bone....Doc say's he could have torn a tendon/ligament.....I think that is wut he said.....I went totally blank at the next.....Cancer......I could hear him talking but I kept looking at that x-ray and kept thinking NO WAY NOT now NOT MY BOY!!!! Mary Lou......all I could think of was Chloe......He then told us he could send the films off to have some specialist read them and it would cost us 92.00....I just stared at him....blank....he say's if it is cancer will you spend the 1,200 to amputate or do nothing...if your gonna do the surgery then I would suggest sending the films off.....I'm like :eekwtf: of corse I would save him how could you ask that,.....he was trying to snap me back to reality I'm telling you all I went somewhere......I'm thinking gosh we just came in for a lump thinking he bruised his foot and now we are talking cancer!!!! He said he should know hopefully by Friday if not for sure Monday...gonna be a long weekend so I hope I know Firday....

Good news his weight is good 84lbs...everything else was good too....His stinky feet is a fungus....like athletes foot....said to get Listerine and put about a cup with a cup of water in his pedi paws and rinse his feet everyday, if it does not clear it up we will try prescription meds....

We went to Micky D's after for lunch then he went with us to Lowes and my fav Garden center...he gets so much attention and loving at these places he is such a perfect gentleman......when we got home he got feed dinner and is now in his house/closet sleeping....

Sally, you know I have Logan always in my thought and prayers. I'm hoping the doc was just talking out loud and letting you know all the possibilities. I know telling you not to worry is useless. I go blank myself just thinking about all this. Just try and keep busy until you hear from the Vet and love on Logan all day! :) Everyone here is gonna put in some strong vibes for a great outcome! Give that boy a hug from me and my boy. :bearhug:

Good vibes being sent. I know the feeling having just went through with it with Caesar. Let me know if you need any thing. Good news about his weight though. At least one postivie out of the vet trip.

Damn Sally, I sure hope it turns out to be a false alarm... Oh our beloved dogs can worry us when they have problems like that, but like MB said it would be worthless to tell you not to worry.

Sending our most positive thoughts and vibes your way. :grouphug:

Oh Sally this has to be just an injury of some kind!!!! I know this is probably useless....but try not to worry, think positive and know that we are all thinking of you and Logan!! I sure hope you know by Friday so you don't waste your weekend worrying cause I refuse to believe it is cancer!! Hugs to you and Logan!! I will pray for good news!!

:thanks2: I have got to have the BEST vet in the world.....I just got a call from him...he put a rush and he got the results.....NOT cancer....OMG I was so excited:eek2::eek2: I asked him wut all it was he has and I got this much I think I understood, he is going to send me the report...metacarpal collateral ligament tear..he said there is nothing we can do for it...something about if it were the toes in the middle surgery would be in order, but since the outer toes don't do as much nothing to do....I called my Mom and was telling her and busted out crying I was so relieved.....here is a pic of his boo boo taken about a week ago it's a bit bigger now and the hair is gone, vet say's it may go down some....

Thanks again for all the prayers and support...I never thought we would have gotten the results back this quick.....even my vet was surprised they got back so fast.....

I pray it's not cancer. What will they do if it's a torn ligament?

Added after you posted: What did he mean it 'may go down some'?

OMG!! I hope its not cancer, but if it is, I hope they can just remove it and be good with that!

The swelling may go down....he said the swelling around the tear is the body's was of protecting it.....

That's Great News, Sally! After you and I hung up I told hubby you said it wasn't Cancer and he let out a big sigh! :D I guess we all were holding our breath! You have a wonderful Vet to rush things like that and then call you as quickly as he did. What a Guy!! I wish they all would take our pets that personally! Well, now that that is lifted off your shoulders, you have a good night and squeeze that boy for all of us!

So glad to hear Logan is cancer free!! You must have just about the greatest Vet to put a rush on things and then call you as soon as he got the results!!! Relax now and give that boy a big HUG!!!

Thanks so much you guys.....And I'm telling you this Animal Clinic I go to is the BEST, almost 40 yrs I've been going there.... I wish human Dr were as conciseness and quick......I hung up and just shook my head.....if you all could have heard how excited he was too....just makes you feel so good to know how much they all care there....the hour trip for me is worth every min of the ride.....

YAHOOOOOOOOO:eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2: Logan's ok.....sry still excited........:)

Oh Sally, I was getting so upset when I started reading this, cause when the vet told me about Penny possibly having the "C" as well, all I could think of was Chloe, and then you posted the pic, OMG I am soooooooooooooooooooooo freakin happy and relieved that Logan is ok. Oh thank goodness, give him some extra love from me and the crew. Hugs to you and that wonderful vet yu have :D

Glad to hear that he's cleared of cancer, and that your mind has returned safely!!!!! Try some Gold Bond medicated powder (green bottle)on his paws, spread it through his toes and rub it in gently. The powder won't make a mess in the house and this has worked well for me and the dogs for some time. Von.

Oh Sally that's wonderful news!!!!! :stars: I'm so relieved to hear that!
